There are different kinds of risk-takers. I’ve found it odd in the past when people peg me as one because I am really pretty far from one. In most things, I probably wouldn’t be someone you call timid, but I’m not a risker.

At first, I was thinking in the realm of bodily risk-taking, but then I realized that I’m similar when it comes to even smaller things like food and standing out in a crowd.

Because there are different kinds of risk-taking. You may have someone who’s willing to surf a 100-foot wave, but they would rather die before they spoke in front of a group of people. Though it seems that if you have a lot of risk in you in one area, it in some ways transfers over.

To give a scale of how unrisky I am, I’ve never been able to master a front or backflip. On a trampoline, pool, or otherwise. I certainly have the athletic ability, but I can’t deliver because my mind won’t let me.

What are you willing to risk? Or you a social risker? A bodily risker? Not a risker at all?
