Today was a very chill day. That’s the best way to describe it. We started the day with our hardest hike of the trip yet. Almost all uphill from Hemmed In Hollow Falls back up to the trailhead.

That part was less chill, but it set the stage nicely for the rest of the day to be relaxed.

After we had made it up the hill and back to our car, we drove not too far to the next trailhead. We started the trail toward Big Bluff and instantly realized this hike was going to be a piece of cake compared to the one we had just done.

Also, we decided since we have to leave early tomorrow morning, we may as well just camp close to the car so we don’t have to worry about taking the pack all the way down and back up.

We met some great people on the trail as we were on Big Bluff. Stephen, Betty, and Silas. Solid believers who were also out enjoying some of God’s beautiful creation before lockdown.

It was a really nice day with not too much to it. I think we will all sleep well tonight and will be glad to be home tomorrow, but I’ll sure miss sleeping out on a mountain.
