Today had, what will most likely be, my favorite part of the trip. We met a guy yesterday named Eric. Eric was some sort of park ranger or official something. He was sitting at the entrance of the trailhead for Whitaker Point. He was doing surveys, but after talking to him for awhile, he clued us in on some cool spots that others often don’t know about.

Anyone who know me knows that I will do almost anything to find those places where there are less people and more nature, so when he told me this and showed on a map where I could find it, I was pretty excited. We still did our normal plan yesterday, but today, we had some time, so we went up to a trailhead that most never get to.

This one took you to several beautiful waterfalls, the last one being my favorite location of the trip so far. It was so secluded from the rest of everything else and it had a pool of water that you could swim in. So refreshing.

I loved it because few people ever find this spot and it was just as beautiful as any of the other falls we saw.

Thank you to Eric for this find! (follow him here: geotread.life or on Instagram as geotread) Great guy with great suggestions.

It was a fantastic day of seclusion in the woods and I am really enjoying it.
