People often off-handedly will say something to the effect of “we never have enough time to visit.”
Sometimes they mean it and sometimes they don’t. It’s a great way to make people feel good about themselves.
Today I was thinking about what a blessing being able to say this literally, really is. It means that you have people in your life that cause you so much happiness or joy that you never fully are satisfied with the time you have with them. People you always want to have more experiences with.
Sometimes this is family, sometimes it’s friends. Who knows who it is, but what a blessing it is to say “wish we had longer, I’ll miss you.” Those are the friendships to hold on to.
