Have you ever convinced yourself of a lie? You tell a small lie related to your story, then you say it again to another person. Pretty soon, you’ve told that part of your story that way so many times that it’s easier to say it that way.
It may not even be a big lie. Maybe just exaggerating a number by a couple and that’s what rolls off the tongue better.
How often do we create these false realities for ourselves? How do we keep from falling into this sin of deception? It seems so small in the moment, but all sin separates us from God. We must be vigilant and careful in the words we use. It’s so easy to fall into lies and deception.
Rise above it and live lives above reproach! Even above these “white lies.”
