Lots of people like to think their wedding isn’t the traditional type. They’ll tell you they want a unique wedding, not like all the rest. They then proceed to have a very similar wedding to others.
I’ve appreciated the last couple of weddings I’ve been a part of because it wasn’t “we’re not doing a traditional wedding.” As if just for the sake of uniqueness. It was, “We’re going to look at as much as we can about weddings and only keep in the stuff that we like.”
Tradition isn’t always bad, but I love the idea of taking what you feel is important and getting rid of the rest. If the tradition doesn’t mean anything to you, stop doing it or understand why it’s there and then add it.wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
