Sometimes you want something, but you know that your money would be much better served using it on something else. You can’t justify the expense.

There’s an extra joy when someone gives this thing as a gift. It’s something that you really want, but you know you probably won’t ever get it for yourself. For some reason it seems okay to give others a gift that you would never get yourself. To go overboard.

Sometimes, the best thing you can get people is money. Something that they can use to continue making it by and spend how they think is wisest…but sometimes, it’s extra special to get them that gift they’re not going to get themself. You’re forcing them to receive something that they want.

It’s important to look to the needs of others. If someone can’t even put food on the table in their house, it may not be the best time to get them an airline ticket to their dream vacation spot. Sometimes you need to just help them get that food on the table. But in those situations that you can get people something that will make their day a little brighter by forcing them to receive something they will never get themself, try doing it.

There’s just something special about it.
