The human body is one of the most resilient yet fragile things. Humans can withstand the terrors of years-long war in terrible conditions while basically being tortured, and some can walk down the sidewalk and accidentally break their ankle.

Both sides exist.

In the same way, the human brain can be one of the smartest yet simplest things. Sometimes it’s like we don’t have a brain at all with the stupid mistakes we often make, other times it comes up with the most genius ideas and experiments.

One of the most impressive things that I’ve seen it do recently is the gift of memorization. In 2005, Chao, a guy from China, recited pi up to 67,890 digits. There are others who have memorized almost half of the bible. That’s over 350,000 words. I picked it out today and played a somewhat speedy piece almost entirely of muscle-memory. I couldn’t remember what to do half the time, yet my fingers were flying where they were trained for so long to be.

The power and ability to memorize is incredible and there are many kinds of memorization and applications for them. Don’t put limits on until you test how much you might be able to do. It might be
