When you hear people like Tim Ferriss or Seth Godin over podcast, they often bring new ideas. Things that make you rethink your life and the way you live it. Insights that bring more and more clarity to your understanding of how to function as a top-performing human being.

The knowledge and wisdom that some have been gifted or attained is incredible. It seems like their mind processes on a whole different level from your own. Faster, more in-depth, greater clarity.

Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. – John 21:25

In the book of John he almost off-handedly mentions all the things that Jesus did in his life that weren’t recorded. I believe God gave us revelation through the Bible. I believe that the revelation through his word is sufficient for us to live lives fully to him.

But even though I believe this to be true, I often wonder what all these other things would have looked like. I had the thought today, if God ran a podcast, what would it be like? If people are so enlightened by other humans with great knowledge, how much more if the creator of the universe had a podcast? Simple things like the book of Proverbs has a tremendous impact on your life if you seek to follow the wisdom in it.

If God had a podcast and gave insight into the day-to-day, how others thought about things, how you think about things, what makes people buy something, what makes people feel loved, etc. If he covered the whole gamut of human interests. What a podcast that would be.

While this sounds amazing, I think we often wish for things like this while neglecting the insights already given to us by God. Namely, the Bible. It’s literally God’s words to us yet we say we don’t have time for it or aren’t interested enough to see what’s inside. If you don’t have time for the God who created you, what have you decided is more important than that?
