I’m taking a brief pause from my series on what I’m reading in the Bible to talk about some of the feelings of this final week of being single before getting married.

This weekend was one of the best products of getting married yet. I got to spend a whole weekend with most of my closest friends. Some of them from completely different groups and times in my life, but close in their own way. Being able to have an excuse to bring them all together at one time was some of the most fun that I’ve had in a long time.

It also helped that, unlike normal, where I normally have to plan a fair bit of these trips, my best man/best friend since birth, tackled all the hard work of buying, cooking, and planning most of the weekend.

I was able to help with some things, but for the most part, I was able to just play sports and have fun with my friends, and laugh more than I have in a long time.

By the end of this weekend, I felt so incredibly blessed to have the friends that I do. They are so encouraging to me, and it’s amazing to have friends that are really trying to push me to follow Christ more fully.

This weekend was probably the most encouraging weekend I could imagine. So many solid conversation, but also, so much fun and silly conversation.

God knew what I needed before this final week of being single, and this was one of the best weekends of my life. Thank you God and thank you, friends.
