“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” as they say. It seems this is especially true as you give gifts to people. Some people you may get a gift that would mean absolutely nothing, and they will literally throw it in the trash because they don’t appreciate it. Others, you could give the exact same gift and they may freak out because they’ve been wanting it for the last 3 years.
I’ve learned that you should be careful when assigning worth to something without knowing those who you’re talking to, because your standard of worth and theirs may be completely different. What you appreciate and value they may never have even thought of.
Everyone functions a little differently and if you can learn to play to that with the gifts that you give, you’re going to end up being much better off.
