Listening to someone who is a good story-teller is one of the most fulfilling things you can do. Being both entertained and educated at the same time. I think this is why I love some audiobooks and podcasts so much. They’re not always as good as books, and for people who learn visually, they’re probably never better, but when you have a good audiobook or great podcast, with an impeccable storyteller, it’s amazing how enthralled you can be with the story.

It’s been one of my desires for a long time to be a great storyteller. Part of that journey, I believe, is listening to some of the best. Some of my current favorite storytellers as of this moment:

Ronald Raegan, Dan Carlin, and Nabeel Qureshi.

All with very different styles, different subject matters, and different points of view, but all seem to have the gift of storytelling.

Tell a story this week, and don’t second-guess yourself or put your story down. See what happens.
