There’s a simple joy of having people over to your house and feeding them. You get to serve others and people enjoy the food and company. It truly is better to give than to receive, and hosting is a good example of how that works.

While I love going over to other peoples’ houses and eating their food, I like, maybe even more, having them over to my house and making them feel welcomed. Hospitality is something that means a lot to me. I’ve learned so much from my family growing up, and in many ways, it’s maybe the thing I desire most to emulate about my house growing up.

Seeing people have a good time and get to know others is a thing I greatly enjoy. Even if I’m not the one part of it, giving an avenue for it to happen is so fun. I took a quiz at one point related to what kind of job I would do well in, and the title it gave me was the “connector.” I’m great at merging different groups together. Probably what has made me successful as an account manager also.

There are so many cool people out there and it’s a shame for them not to meet each other.
