There’s a lot of doom and gloom personalities around these days. In some ways it makes sense. There is certainly a lot of horrible things happening around the world, but it gets exhausting only hearing the bad parts of what’s happening in the world.

As I was listening to the last part of Dan Carlin’s episode in his series “Kings of Kings” I was realizing that every empire has a time limit it seems. I think it’s hard for American’s to realize that only a hundred years ago, America was not a powerhouse on the world stage. It had prominence, but it really wasn’t until after both WW1 and WW2 that it became known as it is today as the leading country in the world.

As there is so much unrest in the world, as I’m listening to this podcast on empire after empire being torn down by the next best one, I realize that America has a time limit.

We think that America is untouchable, but when comparing some of the timelines of the older empires to the “American Empire, the numbers show that this kind of life will not be sustainable long term. Eventually, it will have a peak (if it hasn’t already) and then every experience from there is on the downward slope.

An empire on this earth simply can’t survive forever. Even the Roman empire eventually fell. How long will this empire (America) we’re currently in last?
