Most people’s least favorite day of the week is Monday. The day they go back to work or back to school. It’s like their life only happens on the weekend and when Monday hits, they die for the next five days.

I’ve been there a lot. Sometimes I still struggle with a monotonous feeling going into the week.

I’ve realized though that Monday’s are not my enemy nearly as much as Saturday’s are. It’s so easy for me to go into the weekend and say that I deserve a break. So much energy spent during the week, and then the weekend hits and it’s relaxy/do nothingville.

Soon enough, you slept in, you didn’t do much and now it’s the afternoon. The day is already halfway gone, and you haven’t done a thing.

It’s easy to waste these weekends thinking we need some “rest” from our life, but that’s not what weekends are for. Every day is for living and living towards the purpose God has given us.

Don’t let your Saturday’s be ugly.
