“What are your thoughts about the coronavirus?” – Someone

“Oh I don’t really have any.” – No one, ever

It’s interesting how the more popular something is the more people have something to say about it. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they actually know more about it, but because of its presence in their life, they have something to say about it.

It makes me wonder about all the times people say they don’t have an opinion on something if they really do. In reality, everyone has an opinion on everything. Even if their opinion is that they don’t think they should have an opinion.

However, I often wonder if we should have less opinions about the things that we don’t understand.

Have you ever met someone who seems to be just a wealth of information, and they make it obvious that they are that wealth of information, yet when you’re around them, they don’t ask one question the entire time?

It always makes me wonder a bit when I’m around those people, how, if they are never to ask any questions, were they to attain the information that they have? Of course they could read information in books, online, etc. but are they never talking and asking people about it too? Getting a second opinion?

If there’s someone in a group of people that is constantly handing out information but doesn’t seem to be a curious soul, it’s much harder for me to trust information that comes from them. Everyone has a thought, but especially in this season of so much false information going around, it might be wise to think twice before sharing.
