Closed the Deal

Level Twenty Five Stats

Weapons gained:

  • Connections + 10: I actually had a very similar week to last week on the connection front. I met with an even bigger client in person this week with my COO and got to know the people that I’ve been working with over phone and email. I figured out some things that I excel at when meeting in person and some of what still needs work. A very productive week building relationships.
  • Ability + 4: As I mentioned above, I’m learning what I’m good at in person and what I’m not. This week meeting with the client helped me to continue to shape my abilities in conversation, asking questions, and coming up with solutions.
  • Knowledge + 6: Much of that same meeting was way over my head. We were looking at their system and tasks that could be automated. It was difficult to follow along with everything they were showing but as a result, I learned a ton about their system and what their pain points are which will help with other customers as well.
  • Discipline + 2: Still a work in progress but really starting to get back into a good routine here.
  • Organization + 4: This week I had a heavy load of meetings and project work that needed to be done. I handled it remarkably well I think for the amount of time I had so I was pleasantly surprised.
  • Strength + 6: Really getting back into this. This is a big goal for me so today I even went to the gym to get a move on getting in shape. I’ve mostly been doing calisthenics at the house but now I have a neighborhood gym I didn’t know about. Excited to start using it.

Kills: I landed basically my first deal all on my own. I’ve closed several other deals but this is the first one that was brought through almost solely by myself from demo to close. Very exciting

Another in-person meeting with a huge client was also a huge win.

Deaths: Feeling a bit behind going into the weekend with the amount of meetings I had. I can catch up, but I know next week is going to be full as well.

Outside the Game

Just getting back into the swing of things still here in Austin. Going to start looking for some weekend activities so that I can get active when I’m not sitting in an office. It’s something I enjoy so much but often don’t do unless I plan ahead to do it.

Final Takeaways

Just gotta keep cranking it out. I’m flying high but I can’t get complacent.

Also, heads up, one more week until I’m done with Praxis officially. Crazy to think it’s finally come. I have mixed feelings on it but more on that in next week or a later week’s post.
