I hope everyone has had a “LET’S GO!” friend in their life.
Who is this person? This is the person that when you walk in the door they say something over the top dramatic, not fitting the moment at all.
For instance:
*Joey walks inside house*
Roommate: “LET’S GOOOOOO!!!!”
Joey: “Hi.”
These friends are crazy. They don’t follow the societal norms of social ques. Not in the annoying way. In the “I feel so awkward that you are doing this but also love that you feel the freedom to do this” kind of way.
Another word for this person might be the “hype man,” but that just seems so boring. The “LET’S GO!” friend seems much more appropriate.
I’ve had a few of these people in my life before. So close and others from a safe distance away.
They make you feel so much better about so many things while simultaneously wishing that you weren’t with them 90% of the time.
That plain grey sweatshirt you saw in Walmart? No. That’s a “OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT THIS SWEATSHIRT!! THIS IS AMAZING, I LOVE IT SO MUCH. WE BOTH HAVE TO GET ONE. ARE THESE NOT THE MOST RAD SWEATSHIRTS YOU’VE EVER SEEN?? WHAT SIZE DO YOU WEAR? MY LIFE IS COMPLETE.

Everyone should make sure they have a “LET’S GO!” friend. It’s something that can’t be manufactured. Authenticity in the over-excitement.
