When we’ve worked hard to achieve something, it’s only natural to celebrate. And that’s good. It’s good to associate achieving with rewards. It allows us to sink into our wins. But that’s where we need to be careful.

I’ve noticed in my life how fast bad habits can creep in. Often, after I’ve accomplished a big task, I sit back and relax.

I deserve this, right?

As I settle into that feeling, the harder it is to come back out of it. It’s important to celebrate your wins, but I think it’s just as important to get right back in the saddle after these wins.

Rest, but never settle, and who knows what we’ll accomplish.
