Right now, I am in the middle of Ouachita National Forest. My phone is off. I have no technology with me. I’ve been backpacking most of the morning. I don’t know what time it is, I don’t care what time it is. I’m with 7 other guys who appreciate the beauty in God’s creation as much as I do. My legs hurt but I love the pain. It means I’ve been accomplishing something. It’s a familiar pain that I have missed.

While I’m in the middle of the forest, this post is scheduled to be sent out to the land of the internet right at noon. I’ve probably forgotten about it completely. Even if I knew when noon was, it would be the last thing on my mind.

The beauty of technology is that I can make use of it even when I’m not with it.
