I often struggle with putting things on social media. Or really publicizing my life at all. I love real-life interactions, and it is much harder for me to care about things that happen online.

However, I’ve realized the importance of putting stuff out there. In today’s day and age, if you don’t have an online presence, you don’t really exist to most of the world. This is becoming more and more apparent to me as I get into the business world.

In some ways, it also forces me to be accountable to others. This scares me, but is also a great way to actually get things done!

This month, as I was getting stuff together for my podcast, so much of me wanted to just keep it on the down-low. That way if the podcast was terrible, or if I couldn’t put it together very professionally, or if the interviews fall through, no one will be the wiser, and I can continue on in bliss.

This is dumb. Plain and simple. It’s a pride thing and it’s a selfish thing.

You must put your work out there. Not only will it help you grow as a professional, but it will also help others learn from what you have done. Whether they learn from the content you produce or the mistakes you make, they will still learn. This is my desire this month. That I will learn out loud, and anyone who reads my content or hears what I produce will be able to learn.

Even if all they learn is how not to do something, they still can learn something!

Because of this, I decided to learn how to do an email campaign through MailChimp for the Podcast so that I could better publicize it. It took me much longer to learn how to do than I had hoped, but I finally have it up and running! If you would like to stay updated on the Podcast, check it out HERE!
